It is a welcomed addition that is sure to come in handy for both newcomers and long-time players.Fortnite has shocked fans with its version 23.40 update, debuting a surprise Most Wanted event that features everything from new vaults, weapons, and bosses. Once a player unlocks enough skill points in their new infamy tier, they will unlock the skill set they saved before going infamous. Instead of having to build a new skill set every time they switch from loud to stealth, players can save their prebuilt skill sets, allowing them to carry over once the player enters a new infamy level. The skill set changes are actually quite helpful for players who regularly change their playstyle. Players can reset their saved skill sets to gain access to the slots right away, but they will need to recreate each set with their available skill points. If 47 skill points are being used in a particular set, the player will need to earn 47 skill points or more before they can unlock a new set. The remaining will be frozen until the player earns an equal amount of skill points being used in the desired set. A player's first saved skill set will be cleared every time they go infamous. Infamy 3.0 brings a few subtle changes to the skill set feature. Although the rewards stop at Infamy 64, they still give long-time players something to strive for after being restricted to Infamy 25 for so long. The massive extension introduces tons of new infamy rewards as well, including 16 weapons, four glove sets, a new outfit and more. Instead of limiting players to Infamy 25, the new system allows players to peak at Infamy 500. The update also extends Payday 2's maximum infamy rank. The first infantry track automatically reduces the points needed to build skill trees instead of spreading it out across the first five classes. Players can keep all their previous infamy unlockables, but won't unlock anything once they reach the item's specific infamy tier. Infamy 3.0 does away with the branching process and forces players to work through a battle pass infamy track. It also allowed players to reduce the points needed to build their character's preferred skill tree as they rose through the first five infamy ranks. Previously, players would start at the center of a web-like structure and move to connected infamy branches once they met the necessary requirements. One of the biggest and most notable changes to the infamy system is its transition from a freeform web to a linear, battle pass-like system.
